I’m very picky when it comes to cake, I dislike store bought cakes and theIt gross icing that taste like sugar paste. Sugar Rush has the BEST buttercream icing! The cake is the perfect texture as well. My entire family loves their cake. The cakes... are beautiful as well. They offer adorable cake decorating classes for you to bring your little ones for some fun! My daughter had a blast! Great prices as well! We ordered a birthday cake for my sons 1st birthday! The customer service was exceptional! My sons theme was time flies and I sent them reference photos and discussed the cake over the phone. The literal BEST. We ordered our wedding cake through them. We had a two-tier wedding cake and 3 mini cakes. One of the mini cakes was a suprise birthday cake for my husband! It was a last minute addition and it was a Marvel/comic book cake. They... did a happy birthday banner on the cake and added pictures of my husband's favorite heroes. Frank was SO easy to work with and was super nice!! Everything was made clear to me on what we were getting. I gave them my color scheme and let them go at it! The cake decorator KILLED IT. Our cakes looked amazing and tasted even better!! We had salted caramel, lemon blueberry, confetti, red velvet, and white. We were getting compliments all night about the cake!!! I just came there for the breakfast today. And wow! I got some croissant, a classic cinnamon roll and the apple cinnamon roll! Absolutely loved everything. The cinnamon rolls were delicious but too sweet for my own taste. My husband who is a sweets... lover absolutely adored and devoured it all! The croissant were my favorite! Today was the first time I have personally purchased from Sugar Rush, but have had their cakes from a friend. I had a large order that reserved online (super easy process by the way) for cinnamon rolls. I did not realize how huge these things were... going to be! (Totally my bad, but they will get eaten!) I had a fairly large order with a bunch of cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and cookies. I had my baby in the carseat and was somehow going to carry it all to the car, totally thinking multiple trips. The gentleman working there, that had taken care of me from start to finish, carried my stuff to my car. He was sooo amazing and sweet! I could not have had a better experience with them! I called around town trying to find any baker to make a birthday cake with banana cake (not just frosting). Sugar Rush was the only baker that could!I also wanted the other half of the cake to be a yellow cake with all fillings to be a vanilla... custard.The end product was very interesting: a very tall 4-layer cake that was decorated very well. As promised the cake was delicious.The only negative was the filling on all levels was mostly chocolate cream with a scant amount of a vanilla that seemed more of a cream than a custard. It was disappointing as we didn't get the desired taste. So make sure to confirm and reconfirm your order as the recipt isn't enough. But overall I'd say it was a good cake. Next time I'd go with 2 two-layer cakes for ease of cutting and storage.read more

Frank, who has helped my family many times, was beyond helpful and patient with us and very... friendly (he has the best “million dollar smile”!). He had great ideas/suggestions to add when discussing the details of the cake and cookies I was ordering. Frank is the definition of great customer service and Sugar Rush Columbus is lucky to have him on their team. Thank you for a pleasant experience, Frank and the Sugar Rush team!**Sugar Rush Columbus has become our “go-to” anytime we need sweet treats, whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or just to celebrate that it’s Saturday and we survived another work-week. My daughter LOVES when I tell her we are going to visit “the bakery” (we seriously go 1 or 2 times a month) and is always eager to help me pick out whatever goodies are calling our name. Everytime we have visited, we have been warmly greeted and the staff are always so patient and friendly. I just wish we lived closer so we could visit every weekend!I am certain we have tried everything offered at least once- The cakes and cupcakes are amazing, the mash-up cookies are always a fun treat, the milkshakes are a tasty adventure, but my favorite thing to get (and my daughters’) are the hot cocoa-bombs. I found Sugar Rush when looking for custom gourmet cupcakes for my daughter's 16th birthday to take to her volleyball team. Each player picked out their specific flavor, it was a HIT and talked about for weeks.....actually a year later because they... requested the cupcakes again, haha! The cookies were all in one piece and each one was securely... wrapped. They were so fresh and the flavor of each cookie is amazing. One cookie is enough for 4 people to share. I’d been a few times just to get some sweet treats like cupcakes and cake pops (which are delicious) and didn’t realize I could have placed my cake order... online. Frank, the manager, was extremely gracious and took my order on short notice. The cake turned out better than I imagined. Many of the party guests commented on how pretty the cake was, but also how absolutely delicious it was! I ordered a salted caramel and chocolate cake w/ vanilla buttercream frosting. What a delicious combo!I cannot say enough good things about this establishment, and the people who work there. You helped make my parents’ birthday that more special and I’m so grateful! So I’ve known the head baker, Mandy for about 3-4 years (give or take). I was her one of her son’s PreK teachers and she used to bring us the most HEAVENLY brownies that I have ever tasted! So when i saw that she was opening her own bakery i got... super excited.

I went in yesterday and it is so beautiful and colorful and has a cozy feeling that you only get from local type restaurants. I got cupcakes & the taco desserts (idk what they are technically called 🥴). Everything was SO DELICIOUS but those cupcakes......i can’t even lie, i ate half the pack as soon as i got home! The flavor combinations were incredible, the cupcake itself was so soft and moist and the icing/decorations were so beautiful. The taco creations were out of this world delicious and not too sweet but just enough sweetness to satisfy.

Don’t even know where to begin to thank the amazing team at Sugar Rush for the most incredible cake. Moving to Columbus from Los Angeles at the beginning of COVID we had to unfortunately let go of our cake topper and so for our 1st anniversary we... didn’t get to enjoy it. Needless to say, I was SUPER bummed. We’d yet to find a bakery that we loved here...and then came Sugar Rush. Super easy and fast ordering process, a breeze to safely pickup (welcome treat in COVID times) but still I was skeptical because in my experience either decoration is amazing or cake is. Boy was I proven wrong. A gorgeous cake that was even more yummy than it was beautiful. REAL buttery creamy frosting (not the overly sugary kind) and moist flavorful REAL tasting cake.
